Ole’ Basin Wood Turned Vessel

Ole' Basin is a One-of-a-Kind wood turned vessel created from an old fallen Camphor tree, by Fallen Timber’s master wood turner, Michael Lassiter.

Features:

• This substantial piece measures 19 3/4h X 5w x 10 inch at the base.
• Lovely as a  centerpiece of a large dining room table or gracing the console in the foyer.
• If treated with a marine finish, it might also serve as a sink in a guest bath.
• The natural, obscured circumference is a strong part of this ole' boys charm.
• The wood features various colors which reveal the the branching growth patterns of the tree.
• Ole' Basin is intended as a "dry vessel", and has a Shellac, water resistant and food safe finish, and
• can be cleaned with a lint free clean damp cloth.
• It is best kept from harsh sunlight, heat and humid environments.

About the Artist: 

After retiring, set out to enjoy life as a local "Gentleman Farmer", Bee Keeper, and to search out how he wanted to express his creativity with woodworking as an art form.  Wood working took an interesting "spin" as he began exploring the surprising beauty hidden in woodturning. Unique opportunities lay in the fallen timbers left for scrap, now live again through the guided eye and hands as Michael rebirths each piece to live a new majestic beauty.
